A lot to say and no idea where to start
When I was a student at Simon Fraser University (SIAT), I wanted to keep a journal. I had a lot going on, good and bad, and I wanted to get it down before I forgot it. But every time I sat in front of my computer, I'd freeze. Not because I didn't know what happened that day, but because I didn't know how to write it. Where does the story start. What matters, what doesn't. I'd spend an hour on the title alone.
Even on the good days, the ones I actually wanted to remember, I couldn't get past the blank page.
So I built Friendly. A small companion that just listens while you talk, and turns it into a journal entry for you. No blank page, no figuring out where to start. Just talk, like you would to a friend.
